Adaptiv’s SD-WAN products are launched in Japan
Osaka, Japan and Quebec, Canada, November 1, 2023 – Daiwabo Information System Co., Ltd. has concluded a distributorship agreement with Adaptiv Networks, Inc., a cloud native SD-WAN service vendor with the largest SD-WAN technology patent portfolio. DIS will collaborate with Adaptiv in the domestic sales of cloud-managed business connectivity solutions.
According to IDC’s market forecast released in September 2023, Japan’s domestic annual SD-WAN growth rate from 2022 to 2027 will be 13.9 percent, and the market size in 2027 is expected to be 22.5 billion Japanese yen, approximately 1.9 times the size in 2022. The domestic SD-WAN market will continue to grow steadily. In 2022, employees returned to the office, and traffic from various SaaS (Software as a Service) applications, such as web conferencing stimulated by the COVID-19 pandemic, has been brought into corporate locations, thus increasing WAN traffic loads. To avoid resulting WAN congestion, SD-WAN is increasingly being used to separate traffic routes through its local breakout function that forwards traffic directly to the Internet.
From 2023 onwards, there will be demand from large enterprises to rebuild large-scale networks that connect offices, clouds, and remote workers. This is driven by the need to support future employee work styles and traffic patterns associated with the use of SaaS applications and the cloud. The small and medium-sized business market is also predicted to grow from demand for integrated operation of local breakout and security at offices.
