  • Adaptiv Introduces Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for SD-WAN

In today’s digital age, securing sensitive information and ensuring the integrity of network systems is paramount. Adaptiv Networks is taking a significant step forward in this regard by introducing Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for its Adaptiv Cloud Orchestrator and Adaptiv My Connect. This new feature is designed to bolster security and provide users with peace of mind.

MFA for SD-WANWhat is Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)?

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is a security mechanism that requires users to provide two or more verification factors to gain access to an online resource. Instead of just asking for a username and password, MFA requires one or more additional verification factors, which decreases the likelihood of a successful intrusion. These factors can include something you know (password), something you have (smartphone), or something you are (fingerprint). Passwords can be stolen, guessed, or hacked. MFA adds an extra layer of security, making it significantly harder for unauthorized users to gain access.

Adaptiv Networks’ MFA Implementation

Adaptiv Networks’ new MFA allows users to choose from a wide range of industry-leading authenticator applications including those developed by Google and Microsoft. Users also have the option to connect using a temporary password sent to their account email. This flexibility ensures that users can select the authentication method that best suits their needs and preferences, and their employer’s corporate policies.

Enrolling in Adaptiv MFA

The next time users connect to the Adaptiv Cloud Orchestrator or log in to their My Connect client, they will be prompted to enroll in the new Adaptiv MFA. The enrollment process begins with users authenticating their corporate email address using a temporary one-time password. This initial step ensures that only authorized users can set up their MFA, adding an extra layer of security from the outset.

Reinforcing Network Security

The introduction of MFA by Adaptiv Networks is a significant step in reinforcing network security. By requiring multiple forms of verification, Adaptiv Networks is proactively ensuring that its systems are more secure against unauthorized access and potential breaches. This move not only protects sensitive information but also enhances user trust and confidence in the security measures in place.
